In order to begin a personal daily yoga practice, you need a place and a time. Let's start with step 1. Where do you practice?

AT HOME
Designate a special spot in your home where you can be undisturbed during your practice and where you feel comfortable and at ease. A simple, uncluttered space is best.
IN NATURE
I love practicing outdoors with the sounds of nature and on days when the weather permits I practice on a small wooden deck attached to my back patio. If you have the opportunity to practice near water, lakes, rivers, the ocean, please take advantage of the setting. The sounds of birds, wind, water and the feel of fresh air and sunshine on your skin always enhance the yoga experience.
AT WORK
I'm very fortunate to have ample space in my office to create a small yoga space. If you can take a 15 minute yoga break during a hectic work day, it's a much better stress-reliever than any coffee break.
HOTELS
If you are a regular business traveler, you know that wherever you check in for the night is "home". Bringing along your yoga mat and starting your day with your personal yoga practice in your hotel room can make you feel as comfortable and centered as if you had spent the night in your own bed.
ANYWHERE!
Be creative! Doing yoga in a different and unusual environment keeps thinks interesting. As long as you are practicing in a safe environment and on a reasonably stable surface, yoga practice is for everywhere!
